Kinja'd!!!

My new favorite thing

Had to go see how it is at night. I’m in love. Also blown away by the iPhone 11's camera. This photo would have been impossible a few years ago on a phone. 56 miles on the odometer now.

Beautiful bike. I wish my wife didn’t work in healthcare so I could ignore her a little better  when I mention I want to get a bike. I’ve ridden for years, but never since I’ve been married.

That should not hold you back.

My wife is a nurse; I have two motorcycles.

Don’t give up your hobbies and passions just because of her profession. We’re all gonna die eventually, so might as well live  while you’re alive.

Bingo. The bike is not the issue there.

I’m going to star this because I’ve been married for 30 years and I know exactly what you mean. And I never rode a motorcycle.

Bikes are fun, but not necessarily something I “need”. I grew up mostly riding dirt bikes. If I was better at getting out to the trails, I’d definitely pick up a couple of bikes for me and my son.

A nice bike would sure be a lot cheaper than restoring old cars, though!

I’m going to echo the rest.

the goal of life isnt to make to the end all pristine and un-dings. its to slide across the finish line, sweaty, banged up, grease stained and possibly on fire, while exclaiming what a ride it was.

you want to see some other shit you can stop doing? driving (car crashs are bad man) cycling. (you see what happens when you slide without proper gear?) eating chips (so bad for you) and a long list of other shit....

I get it. If I was more passionate about it, I’d do it. A ‘68 Mustang isn’t any safer, aside from the fact that I can’t physically  fall off it.

I do want my son to learn to ride, I want to get dirt bikes at some point. I have had several friends here that have retired from street riding and only do track days and dirt.
